Over the last few years, a transformation has taken root in Fremont’s Downtown. Today, there’s no question that the district is truly on the rise. It began with the City’s investment in a pedestrian-oriented street grid and a public-private partnership that resulted in the soon-to-be-completed Locale @ State Street project. As of this post, there are more than a half dozen projects proposed in the City’s Downtown and City Center areas, including a new headquarters for Fremont Bank.

The recent designation of Downtown as an Opportunity Zone only adds to Fremont’s appeal as an excellent location for investing. Despite a lot of buzz, however, many investors, developers, and property owners still don’t understand all the ways Opportunity Zones can benefit them. Our new Fremont Opportunity Zone Investment Guide provides an overview of the unique tax incentive program and the investment opportunities present in Downtown Fremont.
