Since 1983, RK Logistics has provided third-party logistics (3PL) support to some of the region’s most iconic high-tech manufacturing companies, as well as local innovators and startups. As you can imagine, this business gives us a unique perspective on the health of regional manufacturing and its supply chain activities. This is one of the reasons we decided to move our business into Fremont’s Innovation District a few years ago — the astounding concentration of manufacturing here was something we couldn’t pass up. And we haven’t looked back since.

Not surprisingly, one of our primary sources of growth recently is the biomedical industry. Fremont alone has over 100 biomedical companies, and we believe that number will continue to grow with the emergence of IoT in biomed. At RK Logistics, we know a good opportunity when we see one. We decided to place more emphasis on serving biomedical needs and were recently awarded a California Board of Pharmacy certification at our headquarters facility where we can now provide full-spectrum supply chain support solutions for pharma and biomedical device firms. We are one of only two 3PLs in Northern California with this distinction.

In Fremont, we offer an array of services that appeal principally to high-value medical device and diagnostic instrumentation companies — from daily pickup and delivery of components, materials, and products from across the Bay Area, to airport recovery of parts inbound from Asia, clean-room unpack and repack, and flex labor services for kitting, sequencing and testing, for optimal handling to exacting specifications. Potential pharmaceutical applications may also be developed in conjunction with client needs.
