Fremont has been a stalwart supporter of the efforts of Joint Venture Silicon Valley
(JVSV). The health of our local economy is dependent on having an
public-private partnership that pays attention to the complicated issues
that cross city borders – transportation, broadband, housing, and
education, among others.

Fremont’s
City Manager Fred Diaz has been fortunate to participate on the JVSV
Board and contribute to shaping the topics that we measure as a region.
And JVSV champions the Silicon Valley Economic Development Alliance
which comprises 20 cities, including Fremont.
SVEDA provides a 1-stop concierge service
for businesses looking to connect with Silicon Valley, and has allowed
its members to share best practices, collaborate on industry events, and
develop relationships that can advance our collective efforts.

Joint Venture CEO Russell Hancock was recently a keynote speaker at Fremont’s annual Legislative Event.
All of us were pleasantly surprised when Russell riffed on a famous
poet, naming all the reasons he sees Fremont as the center of Silicon
Valley. “Fremont – why do I love thee?” You can find all seven reasons
on this short video clip.
