If you’ve been wondering what all the fuss about Fremont’s Warm Springs plan is, now you can see for yourself. The draft Warm Springs Community Plan was released for public review last week and clearly outlines this bold vision, while reflecting some unique (and pretty progressive) urban planning principles. Here is a preview of some of the Plan graphics, which should help visualize what’s in store for Fremont’s Innovation District.

1. This view of the new Innovation Way, looking east with the new BART station in the background, emphasizes a strong public realm, creating critical ‘quality of life’ urban amenities.

2. The plan takes a thoughtful approach to the land use mix, with focused intensity closest to the BART station, which maximizes employment potential, including the growth of important manufacturing businesses already in the district.

3. The plan is based in market reality, outlining how development can be phased over time. Eventually, projects can take advantage of some of the best views in the Bay Area!

To learn more, visit our website or join us at an Open House to introduce the Plan on Thursday, January 16, from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm at the Warm Springs Community Center (47300 Fernald Street, Fremont). Hope to see you there.
